What Are The Quality Inspections for Welding Points of Intermediate Frequency Inverter Spot Welding Machines?

The quality inspection of welding points in intermediate frequency inverter spot welding machines is one of the key steps to ensure welding quality and product performance. The following are common methods for inspecting the quality of solder joints:

1. Appearance inspection: Appearance inspection is one of the simplest and most intuitive methods, which visually inspects the appearance of the welding point, including the flatness of the welding surface, the uniformity of the welding, whether there are defects such as cracks, pores, slag inclusions, etc.


2. Size inspection: Use a ruler or other measuring tool to measure the size of the welding point, including diameter, height, protrusion, etc., and compare it with the standard requirements to determine whether the size of the welding point meets the requirements.


3. Metallographic microscope examination: Observing the welding points with a metallographic microscope can check the bonding between the weld and the base metal, confirm the presence of defects such as slag inclusion, porosity, and cracks, and evaluate the structure and uniformity of the welding structure.


4. Tensile test: Sampling from the welding point for tensile testing to evaluate the welding strength and ductility, in order to determine whether the mechanical properties of the welding point meet the requirements.


5. Hardness testing: Use a hardness tester to test the hardness of the welding point, evaluate the hardness distribution of the welding area, and detect whether there is hardening phenomenon or abnormal hardness area.


6. Non destructive testing: including non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, etc., can detect defects inside the welding point, such as pores, slag inclusions, cracks, etc., and evaluate the internal quality of the welding point.


7. Resistance test: Use a resistance tester to measure the resistance value of the welding point, check whether the conductivity of the welding point is normal, and evaluate the welding quality.


8. Environmental testing: Conduct environmental tests on welding points, such as thermal cycling tests, salt spray tests, etc., to evaluate the corrosion resistance and durability of welding points under different environmental conditions.


The above methods are usually used in combination to comprehensively evaluate the quality and performance of welding points.
